Shop update 3/28

We are spent!

We have just been overwhelmed and we can't take anymore orders. We are currently at least two weeks behind due to the large volume of linen orders we've received post market. My daughter is coming this weekend to help process as many orders as possible as we will reasses on Monday. We humbly thank you for supporting our small business. This is the first time our shop has closed since it's opening and we hope you will understand this is to prevent frustration to our customers and because we need a light at the end of the tunnel. We appreciate your understanding. You can always reach us via email by using the contact form.

A Mother - Daughter Duet of Samplers, the Elizabeth and Sarah Chesters Samplers: These two samplers, so very similar in design and motifs, must have been done by relatives, sharing not only the same last name and year stitched but also the same pattern, thread and linen colors. At first thinking they perhaps were sisters, a search revealed the discovery that they most probably were mother and daughter. The mottos chosen on each are reflectively appropriate sentiments for a mother and child. It is a cheery thought to envision the pair stitching together, the daughter learning in imitation alongside her mum, while being given the freedom of her own creative expression. Model stitched on 36 count Eureka by Fox and Rabbit Designs with 15 shades of Soie d’Alger silks. Stitch count 167 w x 163 h
