Description
The well known and loved scripture verse, “Suffer little children to come unto me and forbid them not for of such is the kingdom of heaven” was stitched by Annie Jones on her sampler and left unfinished in a year unknown. Four alphabets including the lovely scrolled center alphabets adorn this charming old sampler as does the sixteen still vibrant colors. Obtained from an antique dealer who bought it at an antiques fair near the Midlands in England, other than the stitcher’s name, Annie Jones, there was no provenance or history on the sampler. 32 Count Vintage Sand Dune by Lakeside Linen with DMC Stitch Count 176 w x 176 h
