Inspired by my collection of winter children’s poetry books, I wrote a little rhyme to highlight all of my favorite parts of the season: Winter Comes With frost and snap and gust and snow With branch and howl and drip and blow With wool and boot and mitt and mug With curl and book and hearth and snug I added a snowy scene: a house with glowing windows and smoke wafting from chimneys, some woodland friends out in the yard, and plenty of falling snowflakes.
