This pattern started off as a wall hanging until a very good friend of mine stated she wanted a very special Christmas Bag she could cart presents in at Christmas....something for her instead of her children, so ta da! I made my design into a large carpet bag style bag. It is very roomy at 18in wide, 18in tall. and 6in deep. The sides have been gathered slightly, and are finished with side bands. There is a tile with wording ‘Together at Christmas’, along with extra wording ‘Hello old friend’, and ‘Joy’. So it is up to you to decide if a bag is for you, or if you would like this image on a pillow, or on a wall. This project combines needleturn applique, stitchery, and simple machine piecing.
