From Paulette:
I had enormous fun designing this Rhode Island-style sampler inspired by the Mayflower and the year the Pilgrims landed in America. The sampler features Pilgrims as well as Wampanoag (I even researched their traditional dress back then, including how their feathers were worn in their hair), as well as floral motifs derived from the oldest known sampler in America, the Loara Standish sampler (her parents were both on board the Mayflower). The chart pack includes some historical notes about the New World, which I hope lend a sense of life to the sampler, if you choose to stitch it.
