Renee’s French Alphabet has been adapted from an antique sampler with beautifully formed graceful letters. The original sampler was worked in wool, and did not contain the letters : J and W, which would have been common in France at the time it was stitched. Both of those letters have been added to the chart, by adapting existing letters in an antique format. A single letter could be worked over one thread to create a tiny pin keep or a monogram could be stitched and finished as small pillow.
The letters could also be used to personalize a project bag.
