This piece was inspired by antique herbarium books (pressed flower/plant collections), and my love of gardening and preservation. One of the things I love most about herbariums are the beautiful labels, so I was sure to include them with these patterns. The antique label images are printed in color on the back page of the pattern (several are included) and they can be cut out and added to your finishing after the piece has been stitched. I stitched two models- one in coral colors and the other in golden tones to show how this design can be personalized. I then choose a different label for each and finished them in a two sided glass frame (right), and under a glass paper weight (left). I absolutely love how both of these pieces came out and they are quick and easy stitches!
