Like pumpkin and spice, Christmas and July just go together! This patriotic design is a nod to our freedom as an American and the freedom offered to us in Christ. The verse reads: "God bless this land from hill to sea, Christ be the gift to set us free." Alternatively, you could leave off the verse and stitch an extra star/snowflake/pinwheel in place of the word "sea." Mary Todd seems to be enjoying her carriage/sleigh ride.
