Tephra is a word defined as rock fragments and particles from a volcanic eruption. This linen could be described as a warm sandy neutral, but has a slight ash green undertone. So I named it for the layer of fine matter that blanketed the region in May of 1980 when Mt. St. Helens erupted. My eyes see DMC #422 as the closest approximation to Tephra.
