Mica is named for the group of minerals commonly found in igneous and sedimentary rock. It is characterized by its ability to be easily split into very thin layers or sheets. It is used in a number of everyday products to add strength, flexibility and shimmer. While this linen does not have a pearlescent finish, it does have a beautiful gold undertone and a depth of color suitable for many aged sampler reproductions.
