Black Squirrel and Flower Vase Scissors Purses

These charming scissors purses are so cute to wear and
attract complements even from those who don’t stitch.
The finishing is all done by hand and the chart includes
step-by-step instructions with color photos of each part of
the process. Following the directions will give easily
repeatable results each time. The models are stitched on
36 count Mocha linen from Weeks Dye Works. You
may certainly stitch on 28 or 32 count linen, but will
need a larger purse frame. The purse frames are from
Lacis; Purse Frame, 2.0" w/ Loops (LS69) in Antique Gold
and Antique Silver. Larger purse frames are available at
Lacis.
The Black Squirrel purse was stitched in Gloriana silks – a
DMC conversion is given. The silks are; Antique Black,
Cranberry, Inca Gold, and Tanager Green
The Flower Vase purse was stitched in Gloriana and Belle
Soie silks – a DMC conversion is given. The silks are: Alpine Taupe (GL), Schoolhouse Red (GL),
Boysen Beauty (CC), Summer Gold (GL), Brick (GL), Tanager Green (GL), Crème de la Crème (GL),
Tangerine (GL), Dutch Red (GL), NPI 125, Lacquered Gold (GL), and Pink Quartz (CC).
