A Collection of Petite Samplers includes five samplers which were stitched from the years 1828 and 1894. The collection includes two small red samplers and another sampler worked in pastels. One of the most interesting samplers is worked in blue and was originally part of Glee Krueger’s Collection. It includes the phrase: “A good name is rather to be chosen than great riches.” What an appropriate sentiment. And the fifth sampler is an adaptation of an Ohio sampler, worked in lovely shades of aquas, greens and peaches. Whenever possible, the history of the piece was included, along with all of the details for stitching each design.
